The Hayabusa2 Extended Mission (Hayabusa2#) have already received many ideas for a name for asteroid 2001 CC21 since our call opened on December 6! The Hayabusa2 spacecraft will perform a fly-by mission the asteroid in July 2026. Thank you to everyone who has submitted a name suggestion so far. The deadline for applications is May this year (2024), so there is still time to submit your idea, and we would be delighted to receive your suggestion.
